Mr. Sakthivelu's zero budget, natural farming concept sounds very much interesting. Have you thought about any possibility of excess nitrogen from urine manure reaching ground water or surface flow to pollute water resources.

Dear sir/madam,
I like Sri Lanka very much because of its rich flora and fauna. The greenery and the efforts of Govt to give importance to maintain the enviro friendly nature. I read about Sustainable Agri practices in Sri Lanka. In India, The recent trend is Zero Budget of Natural Farming and its purely a Sustainable Farming Practice found by Shri.Subhash Palekarji- Actually I am a Farmer to practicing Zero Budget of Natural Farming. Tremendous Response to give good yield without cost. I am using only indian Deshi Cow's (Bos Indicus)Urine 10 Litres, fresh Dung 10 Kgs only to make a Culture called "Jeevamirtha" along with 2 Kg of any Pulses Flour, 2 Kg of Jaggery and handful of Soil from our Field. Mix it with 200 Litres of Water and after 48 Hours. The Culture is ready with Trillions of Countless Effective Beneficial Microbes and it will help for Plants growth by the way to provide all nutrients in available form to the rootzone of all plants.
No cost/Eco Friendly/Labour saving/Water Saving therefore entirely a Zero Bunget of Natural Farming is possible. One Deshi Cow of Srilanka is enough for 20 Acres of Land.
